This studio project required a re-branding of an existing entity. I developed a brand for the North Carolina Zoo that is not only fun for visitors but incorporates comprehensive wayfinding into a seamless system.
Branding material includes re-imagined logo and letterheads complete with a comprehensive style guide. The logo itself showcases the seven zones of the zoo in the form of the most visited animal of that section and a two color system that could be expanded into signage.
This wayfinding system includes a folding guide map that leads you through color coordinated trails. Building from the existing system I expanded the paw prints previously used on signage to become more specific to the specific animals found in each section. These paw prints would then be pressed into the concrete to create a simple, yet fun trail marker. This could be further expanded to include fun activities for children in the future.
